About My Coaching Services
My name is Katie Sleboda, and I’m the founder of Self Reliance, a company built at the intersection of psychology, philosophy, and performance.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education.
I am a teacher in the truest sense, which is why learning is one of our core philosophies.
I hold a master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
Industrial and Organizational Psychology (I/O Psych) is the science of optimizing human performance. It studies how thoughts, emotions, and environments affect productivity, satisfaction, and long-term success.
The Philosophies Of Self Reliance
Learning is the main catalyst for growth.
Learning is not just knowing something new. True learning reshapes how you think, respond, and choose.
At Self Reliance, learning is more than a philosophy; it’s the foundation of growth and mastery. Because when you can learn from anything, you can adapt to anything. Every challenge becomes feedback, every setback becomes data, and every experience becomes a new level of precision in how you operate.
Rather than being motivated extrinsically by your desired outcomes, I encourage my clients to work toward mastery.
Mastery isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency. In behavioral psychology, mastery is the stage where conscious effort becomes automatic behavior. That’s what I help my clients achieve. It’s about turning the things that used to require discipline into second nature, so that success stops feeling forced and starts feeling inevitable
Learning is both the proof that you’ve changed and the process that keeps you changing.

Hard Work
My clients want to work hard, without getting burnt out.
Hard work is how you earn confidence.
Hard work is the bridge between your potential and your proof.
True fulfillment doesn’t come from avoiding effort; it comes from mastering it. When you know how to work hard with clarity and direction, you develop mental resilience, enhance focus, and expand your bandwidth. These are the antidotes to feeling stuck, scattered, or uninspired.
Working hard just for money will leave you feeling empty.
Working hard in alignment with your life’s purpose is deeply fulfilling. True satisfaction doesn’t come from what you earn; it comes from who you become in the process of earning it. Fulfillment in life is born from the kind of work that challenges you, stretches you, and transforms you.
Mental resilience is built through sustained effort, not sporadic bursts of willpower.
Congruence
Congruence is alignment; the harmony between who you are and what you do.
Congruence ties your identity and dreams together, weaving a path where success feels true to who you are at every stage
To live in congruence is to align your goals with your identity, ensuring that the process of growth feels as authentic as the outcome itself.
When your mindset supports your mission and your actions reflect your purpose, growth feels more like a flow state than a force.
At Self Reliance, congruence is what transforms achievement into fulfillment. Because success without alignment feels empty, but success built on your personal truths feels deeply meaningful and deeply yours.
Success is a system of connections- between purpose and process, effort and awareness, & vision and execution.

The science of work efficiency, performance, and sustainable productivity.
I use it to optimize productivity, decision-making, and work satisfaction, aligning career success with life satisfaction.

I use it to help clients understand the biological side of mindset. How neural pathways form habits, how the brain learns through repetition, and how physiology influences performance
Behavioral Psychology
Focuses on how environments, habits, and reinforcement shape behavior
I use it to help clients design systems that make their best behaviors automatic and their desired results inevitable.
Performance Psychology
Studies how thinking patterns, attention, and perception influence behavior
I use it to teach clients how to self-regulate, manage stress, and perform at a high level by creating systems that make peak performance repeatable.
Cognitive Psychology
Studies how thinking patterns, attention, and perception influence behavior
I use it to teach clients how to shift their mindset by reframing thoughts, improving cognitive flexibility, and optimizing the way they process challenges.
Positive Psychology
Studies how individuals can cultivate motivation, optimism, and resilience by intentionally directing their thoughts and attention
I use it to help clients build intrinsic motivation, gratitude, and resilience; the psychological traits that make sustainable success possible.
